SMART GRID INNOVATION SYMPOSIUM
June 3-4, 2009
The symposium will identify key trends and challenges within this space and will bring together some of the most promising emerging technologies and business models from Denmark and US that will shape the smart grid moving forward. Partners in this event include Squire Sanders, Trinity Ventures, DONG Energy, EPRI, Sigma Designs and Amplex.
Smart Grid technologies can increase efficiency and reliability of the electric grid while addressing growing demand and incorporating more renewable and distributed electricity generation. These are clear policy objectives of the Obama administration which is laying the policy framework and creating incentives to bring the smart grid to reality. Here in Silicon Valley the Smart Grid is seen as a key area of growth and interest in the Clean Tech sector marked by rapid escalation in research and startup activity and venture investment in various areas within this space.
The Smart Grid Innovation Symposium will gather Danish and American VC investors, entrepreneurs, corporate development and technology officers, researchers, utility representatives and other professionals who are creating the future of the new intelligent electricity system. Emerging smart grid and grid balancing solutions will be presented and discussed through keynote speakers, presentations, panel discussions and networking activities during a one and a half day conference on Sand Hill Rd. in Silicon Valley.
